Remove Activation Lock on iPhone / iPad from iCloud
posted this on July 4, 2017, 5:45 am
1Find My iPhone is automatically activated with iOS7 and newer for iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touch. This automatically blocks activation by other people, and does not allow Buy Back Pros LLC to find a new owner for your device. Because of this, Buy Back Pros LLC will not be able to offer full trade‐in value for devices with Find My iPhone enabled unless you deactivate the "Find My iPhone" in your iCloud account. The good news is that it is still possible to clear your device.
1.Go to http://www.icloud.com and login using your Apple iCloud account (this is the same account you use on your device).
2.Once signed in, you will see the iCloud home page.
3.Click “Find My iPhone”.
4.Click “All Devices” near the top of the screen then select the device.
5.After selecting your device, click “Remove from Account”
If you received an email from Buy Back Pros LLC asking you to complete these steps, use the link in your email
to let us know you've removed it from your account so we can continue to process your device.
Is your device still linked to your iCloud account? You can verify the devices on your account.
6.Goto the iCloud.com homepage.
7.Click "Settings" near the bottom of the screen.
8.The “Settings” screen will list the devices associated with your iCloud account. Select the device you want to remove from your account.
9.The “Devices” menu will appear. All of your devices associated with your Apple iCloud account will be listed on theleft side. Select and click the device that you would like to remove from your account. For verification purposes, the last 5 characters of the device IMEI and serial numbers are listed. Lastly, click “Remove Device” to release the device from your Apple iCloud account.
If you received an email from Buy Back Pros LLC asking you to complete these steps, use the link in your email to let us know you've removed it from your account so we can continue to process your device.
Please note: If you are still in possession of your device, you can turn off Find My iPhone right from the settings menu. If you aren't able to remove the device from your iCloud account, please contact us for assistance.
